SPORTELAsia and Eurodata TV Worldwide announce the Winner of the 1st “Asian/Pacific Sport TV Audience Award”



                                                                 

          

SPORTELAsia and Eurodata TV Worldwide have joined forces in order to reward the sports events who deliver the highest ratings in the Asia-Pacific area.

David Tomatis, Chief Executive Officer of SPORTELAsia and Florent Simon, Eurodata TV Worldwide Sport Manager, revealed the winner of the 1st « Asian/Pacific Sport TV Audience Award » on Monday 8th March during the opening party of SPORTELAsia in Singapore.

The award is presented to the sport event delivering the highest ratings worldwide in 2009 across at least 3 different countries.

For the most-watched sport event, the winner is:

• Cricket « 20Twenty International 2009» event which gathered more than 32.2 million viewers across Australia, India and Pakistan.

The other nominees were Basketball, “2009 FIBA Asia Championship” and Football, “2011 AFC Asian Cup Qualification”.


* Total of TV ratings of the best performing episode in the broadcast countries among the 15 countries included in the survey.

Scope of Survey : Australia (Regional TAM), China, India, Indonesia, Japan, Kazakhstan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam.
