Partners from RAJAH & TANN LLP to present at workshop in SPORTELAsia 2010
Sports Content Licensing : Sold To The Gentleman In Monday 8 March 2010 from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm – Millenia 3, level 2 Lau Kok Keng, Rajesh Sreenivasan and Steve Tan of the top-tier Singapore law firm of Rajah &Tann LLP will be speaking at SPORTELAsia 2010 during this workshop, which will provide participants with practical insights and exposure to the intricacies, challenges and legal nuances of sports content licensing and broadcasting. The panel will discuss topics of key concern such as commercialization of sports content and monetizing intellectual property rights relating thereto, the economics of bidding from the perspective of a broadcaster and a rights holder, the bidding process, content licensing from a multi-platform perspective including digital transmission in addition to traditional broadcasting, competition law impinging on licensing conduct and the perspective of the common man expecting free access to sports content.
